EverWeft Single vs Double. Which One Should You Stock.

By Will Wyatt · May 2026

The first decision a new ALMAPRO stylist makes is whether to stock EverWeft Single, EverWeft Double, or both. The answer depends on your clientele — not on what's cheaper per pack.

Here's how to think about it.

What Each One Actually Is.

EverWeft Single is a single-density Genius Weft. 50g–70g per pack depending on length. Lays flat. No return hair. Used in Classic bead extension installs where you want lighter weight per row distributed across more rows.

EverWeft Double is a double-density Genius Weft. 115g–130g per pack depending on length. Same flat construction, twice the density per row. Used in Veiled bead extension installs where one row delivers what would have been two stacked hand-tied rows in the old method.

Same hair quality. Same super double drawn cuticle-aligned single donor sourcing. Different density per pack.

Stock Both. Here's Why.

If your client mix has any variation in natural hair density — and it always does — you need both on the shelf.

  • Fine-haired clients always go on Single + Classic install.
  • Medium-to-thick clients usually go on Double + Veiled install for time savings.
  • Some thick-haired clients with extreme volume goals need 2.5–3.5 packs of Double.

If you only stock Single, you'll spend 2 hours on installs that could have taken 90 minutes, and your medium-density clients will get suboptimal installs because you're stretching Single packs to do Double's job.

If you only stock Double, you'll put too much weight on fine hair and your client will come back at month one with breakage at the bead row.

The Cost Math.

Single is the lower price per pack but you use more packs per install. Double is the higher price per pack but you use fewer packs.

For a typical 22" volume + length install:

  • Single + Classic: ~5 packs × $X = $5X total cost
  • Double + Veiled: ~2 packs × $1.7X = $3.4X total cost

Double is roughly 30% cheaper in total cost per install for medium-density clients. Single is required for fine-density clients regardless of cost.

Translation: stock Double for the volume of installs you do most often. Stock Single for the installs where the client's hair requires it. Don't substitute either way.

Starter Inventory For A New ALMAPRO Stylist.

If you're approved this week and trying to figure out a starter order, here's what most stylists open with:

  • 2 packs of EverWeft Double in your most-used color (covers your next medium-density transformation install)
  • 4 packs of EverWeft Single in your most-used color (covers your next fine-hair install)
  • 1 pack of InvisiTape in the same color (for tape-in clients who don't want sewn-in)
  • Tools: 4mm silicone-lined matte beads, threader, sectioning clips, micro-crimpers

Reorder based on what actually books — not on what you think will book. Track your install ratio (Single vs Double vs InvisiTape) for the first 90 days, then build standing inventory around the actual mix.

Color Across Both Lines.

Single and Double are both available in the same color palette. If you're matching a client across multiple installs and methods, you can switch between Single and Double mid-client without color matching again. The cuticle alignment + sourcing is identical.

Read the Color Matching Guide if you want a refresher on natural-light matching at consultation.

Where to Order.

Both EverWeft Single and Double are gated to licensed cosmetologists. Apply for ALMAPRO access with your cosmetology license. We review every application personally — approval typically takes one business day.
