Injected Tape Weft Hair Extensions | Wholesale Tape-In for Stylists
Injected tape weft hair extensions are the next generation of tape-in extensions — hair strands bonded directly into a polyurethane base instead of sewn onto a fabric weft. Alma's InvisiTape is the leading injected tape weft system for stylists.
Injected vs Sewn Tape Wefts
Standard tape-in extensions from Bellami, Babe, Hotheads, or Donna Bella use a sewn-weft construction — hair is machine-stitched onto fabric, then glued to a tape backing. The result is a 0.8mm thick weft that telegraphs through fine hair and frays at the seam.
Injected tape wefts skip the sewn weft entirely. Hair strands are bonded directly into a polyurethane base. Result: 0.4mm profile, no fraying, fully reusable.
Why Stylists Are Switching to Injected Tape Wefts
- Thinner against the scalp — invisible on fine hair where sewn-weft tape would telegraph
- No fraying — no sewn-weft seam to unravel
- Reusable — retape 2-3 times before retiring
- Cuticle-aligned — hair runs in same direction, no tangling
Install Protocol
Same install as standard tape-in: section, sandwich client's natural hair between two tape wefts, press for 5 seconds. No special tools beyond tape-in remover and replacement tabs.
